HEAT + CLIMATIC ADAPTATION / RESEARCH FRONTIER

ADAPTATION
TO A CHANGING ENVIRONMENT.

Meteoadaptogenic research asks whether drugs help preserve function as climatic conditions change. Heat is the first Antaeus test case. Cold and hypobaric hypoxia are expansion questions with separate evidence requirements.

01 / BEMITIL / HUMAN HEAT

A direct starting point

The 1997 Bemitil / phenibut work addresses exertion, protective equipment and overheating. The companion report specifies 30 ± 1°C and several comparator arms. The abstracts do not provide a Bemitil-specific percentage improvement or complete allocation details. PMIDs 9162292 ↗ / 9235216 ↗.

02 / BEMITIL / ANIMAL PATENT EXAMPLE

+50.5% running time at 40°C

RU2704126C2 reports mean running time of 41.66 versus 27.69 minutes in male mice. The percentage is calculated from those means. Small groups, inconsistent Bemitil n=8/n=9 reporting and patent-example status make independent replication essential.

03 / BROADER HUMAN CATEGORY

A climate-chamber research precedent

A 2009 report studies citoflavin, reamberin, hypoxen and mexidol in healthy volunteers aged 20–24 under overheating, cold and hypobaric hypoxia. The abstract describes environment-dependent effects. It does not test Bemitil. PMID 20095399 ↗.

04 / THE CATEGORY THESIS

Actoprotection meets environmental resilience

Our bet is that actoprotectors and meteoadaptogenic drugs can become a frontier beyond peptides. That is an investment thesis. Each compound needs its own mechanism, controlled outcome and safety package; class membership does not establish efficacy.

05 / ANTAEUS PRIORITY

Heat first, broader adaptation after evidence

Start with one controlled heat-performance question and the associated molecular response. Extend to cold, oxygen availability or changing climate only through separately designed studies. No present weather-sensitivity treatment or proven all-climate protection is claimed.
